Can you believe we are about to wind down on Summer 2017? Well, I just can’t. So much has happened over the summer. I’ve been some kind of busy! I’ve shot some insanely gorgeous weddings, went on an amazing beach vacation, about to take another to my favorite place, Colorado, where we will be scouting wedding locations for my daughter! Yes, that’s right. Her boyfriend of almost 7 years popped the question in a surprise proposal on the beach. It was really beautiful! So we are now planning a wedding! And we are so excited, but I totally understand how it’s a little overwhelming. Lots of decisions to make. I’ll be sharing more about that later on. Back to this beautiful couple. OH where do I start with all this gorgeousness! When Kelsey first contacted me about shooting her wedding, I was excited. I just love the Marland Mansion! And this girl is all about the photos, which is perfect, because having someone as passionate about photos as I am, well, we just made a great fit. She was up for anything! And didn’t mind driving to those gorgeous locations! I got to have this beauty in front of my camera for her engagements, bridals, wedding, and we also did an after session. Fast forward to her wedding day. The Oklahoma forecast was sketchy. Rain. Luckily we were able to get almost all of the photos taken before the ceremony. Props to Kelsey and Jordan for choosing to do a first look ( and see how sweet it was, seriously, it was perfect). So we made it almost all day with no rain. Until literally minutes before the ceremony. Like, right before, people were seated, ceremony was about to begin. Then we feel little drops, trying to decipher the radar on my phone was a challenge. Then it hit. A nice Oklahoma soaker, that did not let up. So the backup plan was set in motion. And it was still so beautiful!!! You never know what kind of weather Oklahoma will throw at you, you just have to be prepared to roll with it, so those rain ponchos I had carried around in my bag for years, well, I had to pull them out. As it turns out, waiting it out underneath that little tree beside the ceremony site was not a good idea. But my gear stayed dry and that was the important part lol. And I promised Kelsey we would do a fun after session, and that was also amazing. So I’ll be sharing a few of my favs from the wedding, bridal session and after session. This sweet couple is destined for a long happy life together. I just know it! I’m so thankful to have worked with such wonderful people!!!
